Mobile BMW key specialist covering Exeter and Devon — HU92, HU100R, EWS, CAS module, FEM/BDC and Comfort Access. On-site, fixed price, 24 hours.
BMW key programming is among the most technically demanding in the automotive industry — and among the most expensive at main dealer rates. The CAS module on E-series cars, the FEM/BDC on F-series, the EWS immobiliser on older models and Comfort Access on G-series all require specialist equipment. From an E90 3 Series CAS fault to an F30 FEM issue or an X5 smart key problem — we carry BMW-specific diagnostic equipment to resolve it at your vehicle, at a fraction of the dealer cost.
Key types and programming systems vary across BMW’s range. Every model below is covered across Exeter and Devon.

The models above cover our most frequent BMW jobs across Exeter and Devon. We cover every BMW model sold in the UK — all variants and older discontinued models.
BMW has used three distinct immobiliser architectures — EWS, CAS and FEM/BDC — each requiring different diagnostic equipment and programming methods. The system your BMW uses depends entirely on the model generation.
BMW's immobiliser architecture has changed across three generations. Each uses a different module, communication protocol and programming tools. Attempting to programme without the correct generation-specific equipment will fail and in some cases can trigger a module lockout. We identify your BMW's system before any work begins.
⚠ BMW CAS and FEM modules can trigger a lockout after repeated failed programming attempts. Call us before trying any DIY method.
The DVLA registration is used to verify ownership before all-keys-lost work.
BMW key replacement at main dealer rates is among the most expensive of any brand. We use the same professional diagnostic equipment at significantly lower rates. Pricing varies by immobiliser generation.

BMW key pricing varies significantly by immobiliser generation. EWS-era keys are the most straightforward. CAS keys (E87, E90, E60) are more involved. FEM/BDC (F-series) and G-series Comfort Access require the most complex programming. We provide a fixed all-in price before travelling — always significantly less than BMW dealer rates. No call-out fee. Call 01392 925673 with your BMW model and year.
EWS is used on E36, E46 and E38/E39 era vehicles. CAS replaced EWS on E87, E90 and E60 from approximately 2003. FEM replaced CAS on F-series from 2011 — F20, F30, F10, F15. G-series (2019+) uses BDC2. Each generation requires completely different diagnostic equipment and programming protocol.
Frequently a CAS or FEM sync issue, not a key failure. The module has lost the key's stored credential. We diagnose and restore the sync via OBD at your vehicle. In most cases no new key is needed. Call us before ordering a replacement or having the car recovered to a dealer.
Yes — all-keys-lost is available for all BMW generations using EWS, CAS, FEM/BDC and G-series systems. Each requires a specific OBD protocol and in some cases PIN extraction from the module. We carry the BMW diagnostic equipment required for all generations including MINI.
Yes — BMW Comfort Access on higher-spec F-series and all G-series is within our capability. Programming uses BMW G-series OBD seed/token protocol. The most common Comfort Access fault is a depleted smart key battery — we diagnose root cause before recommending replacement.
Yes — MINI shares BMW's architecture throughout. R50/R52/R53 use EWS4. R56/R60 use CAS. F56/F60 and F54 Clubman use FEM/BDC. All generations are covered using the same BMW diagnostic equipment.
Yes — the credential programmed to your BMW's CAS, FEM or BDC module is identical whether programmed by us or a BMW dealer. Both use BMW OBD protocol. The physical HU92 or HU100R blank is from the same professional supply chain. The difference is cost and on-site convenience.
